As winter approaches and the temperature begins to drop, a lot of things in your beauty routine will change {or at least they should}. The best part of winter, for me, is the texture of my hair. The lack of humidity does wonders for my naturally thick & coarse mane. Less Moroccan Oil, less shine spray.

On the other hand, my hands, body and face become drastically dry. I can already tell this winter in Virginia is going to be a doozy! My lips have never felt so parched and my knuckles have quickly turned to sand paper {partially because I hand sanitize like a pro}. I've added several beauty & bath products to my regime to keep my skin feeling soft.

The #1 piece of advice I can give women {& men} is to moisturize. Moisturize, moisturize, & moisturize some more! I used to lazy about carrying hand cream and lip balm, but now that I work so closely with others and shake hands on a daily basis, I make these items a priority.

The items listed above are products I think everyone should try and I feel confident you will love them too!

The First Aid Beauty Hydrating Duo is a special deal for the holiday season and so worth your money. The lip therapy usually isn't sold and the moisturizer is the perfect size {especially if you travel}.

I can't say enough good things about The Body Shop. Their lotions smell so good you'll be tempted to take a taste {I'm not kidding...and no I haven't tried}. The body butter is the only kind I've tried that literally stays on allll day.

Glam Glow, which I've talked about here, is pricey, but effective. I use this at least three times a week when I'm going to bed. When I wake up my face looks refreshed and smooth {and it smells like summer}.

Originally, I wasn't a huge fan of Josie Maran's Oil {and I'm still not for my face}, but I grew to love it for the ends of my hair. A great product to apply to wet locks or at night when you're going to sleep.

Oh Dior! How can you go wrong? The raved about Creme de Rose lip balm is just as good as the reviews. Not a night has gone by that I haven't apply this to my lips before bed. It lives in my bedside drawer and has become a staple of my nighttime routine.

You may be wondering why I've featured Sleepy Time Tea. Although not a beauty product, or a product for dry skin, I do think it's a winter essential. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a big tea drinker, but getting enough sleep is extremely important when staying well during the winter months. Sleep can help you to avoid colds and all sorts of other yucky germs you don't need interfering with your jolly holiday. This tea is not only yummy, but it helps soothe you to sleep.

I hope these tips and products will help you stay smooth during the upcoming chilly months!
