HUMIDITY PROOF

Humidity Proof Base

Conceal & Mattify

Humidity Proof Base

Okay, I thought this post would be relevant, because the temps lately are crazy! I don't know what I expected from the month of August, but every time I get in my car on my lunch break it says 90-104 degrees! And I work in a corporate environment which means I can't wear a tank top and shorts to work - it's rough! Every time I get back in my office I feel like I need a giant fan and a shower.

Recently, I was wearing my Dior Nude Serum foundation and my Maybelline Rewind concealer and looked into my mirror and realized my makeup was melting! Melting! This hasn't happened to me in the longest time. I was so shocked I questioned whether I had put on powder that morning - and I didn't even have any to touch up in my purse. I have normal skin so I'm only oily in my t-zone and really not at all in the fall & winter. This prompted me to change my whole product line up the next day.

I love, love my Dior foundation don't get me wrong, but I decided to opt for a stickier, longer wearing formula. First I put on my Rimmel Stay Matte Primer which is a stickier consistency than most. It's a little weird, but really allows your makeup to stick to your face like glue - in the best way possible. I followed up with my Tarte Amazonian Clay 16 Hour Foundation. Then I swiped on my Urban Decay Naked concealer which literally does not move all day - if you don't believe me try it for yourself! Next I used my NYX HD Powder, because it is the most mattifying of any I own and also keep concealer in place all day long.

Once my base was done I used a 12 hour blush, also from Tarte and my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner (my true love and holy grail liquid liner). Both of these products are long wearing and seriously stay put. Lastly, and MOST importantly I spritzed a couple (okay like 12) sprays of Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray. I always set my makeup, but it is particularly important for hot weather or all day wear. In all honestly, I go all day without powdering my face. On occasion I will powder once before I head to Pure Barre from work, but usually it's not necessary.

I hope this was helpful! If you have any other great long wearing, sweat proof makeup products please let me know!
