SHOP THE POST

Hello, Friends! For today's Face It Friday I thought I'd share an outfit and my favorite hair care products. My top above is from Stitch Fix so I linked one that is super similar. I love the way it paired with the blue button-up skirt for a bright punch of color and pattern. Btw this skirt runs a little bit big so you may want to size down. I paired them with my new favorite lace-up sandals...and oh. my. gosh. you guys! Such a good purchase! They are designed to fit different width feet and go with just about everything. I'm planning to take them on our upcoming week long vacation because I know they are so versatile for wearing with shorts, white skinnies, and dresses.

My bright pink lip has been my go-to lately. I've always been a nude and light pink lip gal but I love the way a pop of color translates in photos. Apparently, this lipstick is a classic that I just didn't know about...sigh. I'm also wearing my tried and true, can't go without, liquid liner. I've purchased so many tubes and haven't found any other that stays on longer and stays matte black all day long. I usually buy two at a time so that I know I'll never run out. Also, if anyone is wondering, my nail polish is a pretty pale peach by Essie.

The second part of today's post is all about hair care. I get so many questions about what products I use for volume and shine along with the tools I use to straighten and curl. For those of you who don't know, I have very thick hair, naturally wavy hair that is on the course side. It's a lot of work but also enables me to create lots of styles that stay for days on end. I only wash my hair once a week because it doesn't produce much oil and it also helps me to get more volume. The most popular question I get is how I tease my hair and how I get the voluminous height. This is partly due to the texture and thickness of my mane, but also thanks to a teasing comb and some texturizing spray (you'll find them below).

Stay tuned on Instastory today because I'll be talking about some new beauty products I picked up earlier this week, some of which are hair related like a new shine spray, blonde enhancing shampoo, volumizing mousse, shine balm, and a hairspray that smells like pears (says, Justin, lol).
