NARS Nordstrom Anniversary Palette

Do you hear the angels singing?

How beautiful is this NARS Nordstrom beauty exclusive? I recently snagged this gorgeous cheek palette online during their anniversary sale {I just couldn't help myself}. The sale lasts until the 4th so hurry hurry hurry! The palette consists of two beauty blogger approved products - Orgasm blush & Laguna bronzer. When I saw these shades were a part of the palette I just have to have it. And can we talk about the light baby pink in the right bottom corner - to die for! My favorite shade of pink. Lastly, in the upper left is a wonderful tan blush I use as a highlight shade.

Besides the beauty of the product itself, the packaging is exceptional. Minimalistic, sleek & smooth. This purchase gets me extremely excited for this year's NARS holiday collections - something I probably think about a little too much! {it is July} But who are we kidding, the holiday season is around the corner and will be here before we know it. So soak up some sun, enjoy the warm weather and check out Nordstrom's fabulous finds!

coffee addiction? beauty addiction? {cupcake addiction?} YES. YES. & YES.

There is almost nothing better than new beauty products & a cup of Starbucks to get my day started right. {oh wait!} but there is! A new beauty product, a cup of Starbucks, AND a new coffee mug! Not just any mug, an Ashley Brooke Designs mug. I've swooned over her sweet, pretty mugs for months via Instagram and yesterday finally snagged one {from Punch Boutique - so cute}. My morning started brighter, earlier and much more stylish. Now I've had my grande white chocolate mocha {with two pumps of raspberry} so I'm ready for a beauty pick-me-up. This morning I reached for a brand new product from Covergirl. I don't think I own any other Covergirl products, but this one caught my eye. While perusing through CVS, as usual, I stumbled upon a brand new obsession. Concealer! Seriously, there is nothing better than a smooth & covering concealer. The new Covergirl + Olay The Depuffer is an undereye concealer equipped with a chilled, metal tip, similar to that of First Aid Beauty here. The cold applicator causes your early morning under eye bags to quickly deflate and feels soothing on a hot summer morning.

So take a sip of your favorite brew & swipe on some sassy cover-up!

oh CHANEL! Classic. Glamorous. Luxurious. Beautiful.
Chanel beauty is not only pretty to look at, but a quality all of its own. You will not be disappointed by the minimalistic style of the packaging, the finely milled powders, the stunning pigmentation, and even the smell {yes this product smells like sweet candy}. These makeup masterpieces do come at a pretty price, but produce a breathtaking result. Everyone needs a little Chanel in their life.

Les Beiges healthy glow products.

My choice from the Les Beiges collection was the multi-colour broad spectrum SPF 15 in the No.1. I chose this compact mostly because of the coloring and it's multi use properties. Not only can you swirl the colors together for a healthy glow - it's a blush, bronzer and highlighter. I use a slim tapered brush to separate the colors. My only complaint - this product isn't ideal for tan skin. Naturally, I have very fair skin, making this product perfect. BUT, a couple coats of spray tan {oh summertime} make the colors harder to see. No.1 is still a beautiful all over powder, but it's hard to differentiate the strips of highlight, bronzer and blush. If you have a tanner complexion I would suggest purchasing No.2.

I'd also like to note, the brush included is the most luxurious of any I've ever found in a compact.

I'm so excited to share a new company - RUBY PEARL!

Ruby Pearl is a chic accessory, jewelry & shoe store. You can visit her website here, her Facebook page here, and follow her Instagram shoprubypearl.

Ruby Pearl was so gracious to send me this beautiful clutch featured above. The Make The Cut Clutch can be carried several different ways - under your arm, on your wrist, or across your body. I am completely obsessed with gold accessories & jewelry so this clutch was right up my alley. The khaki color with gold detailing go perfect with almost every outfit. Great for day & great for night. Carrying a large purse {which is the norm for me} is not my preference for date night or for going out with friends. BUT a teeny tiny wristlet is also not ideal. The Make The Cut Clutch is the perfect size for your wallet, keys, cosmetics and cell phone {I even fit my Pure Barre socks}. There is also an inside pocket if you choose to carry your credit cards & cash separately.

Ruby Pearl is offering 15% off your entire purchase with the promo code PARDONMUAH15.
Offer lasts until August 8th so go get your shop on!

Ever since my photo shoot with Southern Belle Glitz in Lexington, Kentucky, a lot of people have asked about the products I used for this series of photos. Luckily, I had just completed a very large haul from Sephora {Beauty Insider to Rouge yikes} and had many new products to try out. Since then, many have become my absolute favorites. I would highly recommend the products listed below.

Thank you to Brandi Kristina Photography for the amazing pictures!

Happy Thursday Beauties!

Usually I love my skin.

This week I hate my skin.

Bad weather, stress, hormones, junk food, and a lack of water are several reasons for my scary skin lately. I feel fortunate to have normal skin {not too oily, not too dry} and I rarely have a bad break out. BUT now that I'm 25 years old, I feel like my skin is changing. After moving from Kentucky to Virginia last year, I automatically saw a difference in the texture and clarity. I'm sure the combination of a new climate and also the stress of moving didn't help, but now I'm completely settled, so what is the deal?! My continuous lack of sleep, due to a full-time job, part-time job, blog, puppy, wedding planning, and a very full social schedule keeps me up until all hours of the night. I also enjoy an occasional {or daily} sweet treat. I have the worst sweet tooth in the world for Oreos, turtle chocolates, and I'm quite the cupcake connoisseur. Pair this with inadequate hydration, girly issues and bad weather. What do you have? The perfect skin storm! I've listed four of my favorite and well-tested products that come to my rescue when my skin lashes out. They are all well worth the $$$ and will help change the way you see your skin.

Here are the reasons why:

[1] Drying Lotion - Best product I've ever used on break outs for spot treatments. The formula may sting at first, but it quickly dries to a white paste, and when left on overnight is like magic! For $17 this is a must have! I purchased mine at Ulta.

[2] SUPERMUD - Oh goodness! Best mask ever - it uses charcoal to pull impurities out of your skin within 20 minutes. As the mask dries into a lighter grey color you will watch and your pores expel dirt! This product is pricey, but definitely something to save up for.

[3] THIRSTYMUD - The big sister to SUPERMUD. If you are in need of intense hydration, but don't want to clog your pores - and you want it to smell like coconuts - you need THIRSTYMUD. I am extremely picky about moisturizers and overnight creams, but this one is a winner.

[4] Creme de Rose - Perfection. You wonder how a lip balm can be so amazing {and pricey}. I spent weeks and weeks listening to YouTubbers and bloggers rave about Dior's Creme de Rose and how it made lips smoother, plumper, more luxurious. I finally caved to the beauty voice in my head & my dollars were very well spent. I put on this lip balm every night before bed and in the morning my lips feel new and refreshed {and ready for lipstick}! The smell of roses is intoxicating and the texture is buttery soft.

As a follow up to this blog post I may also share my favorite concealers and cover up tools for break outs. Please let me know by commenting below if you are interested!

The bigger the hair, the higher to heaven. Or so they say. I lived in Texas for only a year as a little girl, but I definitely drank the high hair Koolaid. Much to my mother's dismay, I love me some big teased hair! In college, girls always used to ask me about my bump-it. What bump-it!? That's all teasing & good hairspray! My hair is very thick and coarse, which helps in the realm of teasing, but many days my hair is too heavy to hold the lift. So when I visit my hairstylist for a cut & color, I always have her razor the crown of my hair. This does wonders! But even after teasing and razoring, it feels like the hunt for the "perfect" hairspray is a never-ending adventure. Even after years of ballet, where you basically freeze your hair to your head, I'm still scouring the aisles at the drugstore. I do have several favorites that I feel are worth mentioning and I'm sure you'll love too! My top three are mentioned above and here is why they made the cut:

[1] A couple years ago I tried Elnett by Loreal Paris {after reading rave reviews}. For one reason or another I wasn't much of a fan. Last week, after watching YouTube beauty guru Alexandrea Garza's video on Lilly Ghalichi inspired curls {she used Elnett to set her curls}, I just had to give it another try. So far I am really impressed. I got the NEW unscented version and I think it's made all the difference to my initial aversion. The hairspray is so light, but still holds, leaving hair feeling soft and clean. Plus it costs less than many other brands at $15.

[2] Bed Head's Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray is by far my FAVORITE. I've used this hairspray for several years, ever since my good friend, and hairstylist Lauren, turned me on to it. It smells like candy and holds like a dream. If you don't like thick hairsprays with extra hold, this probably won't be your first choice. But if you want your hairstyle to stay in place all day, this is the one for you! Even though the hold is strong and the texture is a bit stiff - you'd never know it by looking.

[3] The third high hair pick is the OGX Elevated Finish Spray. The color of the bottle originally caught my eye. I love the smell of my shampoo from OGX so much that I couldn't help myself and quickly snatched it off the shelf. I am quite pleased with the smell and the formula. The hold is not too strong and not too light, but does leave more residue than Loreal's Elnett.

So grab your teasing comb, channel your inner southern lady & spray spray away!

Macadamia Natural Oil - Holy Grail

Macadamia Natural Oil - Holy Grail #2

If you were to buy any product that I recommend on this blog, this is THE one. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque is by far the most amazing hair product I have ever tried! Aside from a Keratin treatment, but let's be honest, those cost major $$$$$$. For a similar effect, you can spend around $36 and {ta-da}...amazing results. I kid you not, this masque has made my hair, which is thick and wavy, so much more manageable and so much shinier. I have naturally frizzy hair & it senses rain from miles away. This masque keeps my hair from looking frazzled and damaged.

How I use it:

Shampoo hair as usual & rinse well
Ring water out of hair while in shower
Run your fingers through your hair in a comb like motion
Grab a dollop of Macadamia masque and massage through hair
Keep the masque on while shaving, exfoliating, etc.
After 5-7 minutes {or less if you choose} rinse out mask
Style hair as usual & ENJOY!

Can you believe it's already Friday?!

While browsing through my Instagram this week I realized how many pictures I've posted of Southern Belle Glitz arm candy - quite a few arm parties! Lately I love to mix gold and silver in different sizes and materials. Some are high-end {Michael Kors & David Yurman} and some of them are boutique - they combine beautifully. The items worn throughout this series are linked below. Some of the items may no longer be available so I've also listed bracelets I can't wait to try!
