Red Hot Halloween

Horns // Dress // Heels // Lipstick // Nail Polish

I love this time of year. The leaves are turning bright colors, Starbucks comes out with sweet, new drinks like their Toasted Graham Latte, booties are an every day wardrobe staple, blanket scarves are essential and all of the fun Halloween movies are on TV (I've already watched Hocus Pocus five times).

For as long as I can remember I've dressed up for Halloween, but the past couple years I really haven't had plans so my costumes have been understated and simple. This year I do have plans (yay!), but I'm still keeping it simple.

I'm attending a fun-filled girl's weekend for my bestie's birthday and our plan is to head out on the town for Halloween night. Since we will be in a public setting and temps are supposed to be chilling, I decided to pick a costume that is pretty, classy and relatively warm [but still a costume]. I have a pair of red horns I bought last year for under $10 so I plan to wear them again with a red dress, heels, red nails (the color above is called So Hot It Berns) and some fiery red lips. Understated, but still fun! I'll even be taking a leather jacket in case we have to walk around outside.

There are plenty of simple costumes that can be worn in a similar fashion - all you need is the head piece. It's also a lot less expensive and also a lot less time intensive. This is great, if like me, your time to hunt down or make a costume is very limited.

Can't wait to see everyone's costumes via social media!

October Favorites

1 // Faux Fur Vest
This vest is everything! Maybe the softest thing you'll every touch and so comfortable! Great to wear casually or dressed up for work or a night out. I'll be wearing it on repeat.

2 // Contour Palette
I've been using the light pink color in this palette nonstop to set my under eye concealer. I much prefer it to the yellow as it makes my highlight look brighter. And it's a great price!

3 // Primer
I purchased this primer over a year ago, but have recently fallen in love with it. It's quite illuminating and shimmery, but under foundation creates a beautiful glow to the skin.

4 // Suede Booties
So comfortable! These run true to size and are the perfect bootie for every day. I can even get away with wearing them to work.

5 // Winter Coat (on sale!)
Last Monday morning the temperatures plummeted to below 30 degrees (gah!). But I actually got the opportunity to test drive this new coat from H&M and let me tell you I'm so impressed. Very warm and very comfortable - I actually can't wait for it to get cold again!

6 // The Best Candle
Okay...this. is. the. best. smelling. candle. everrr. I also purchased the wallflower and OhMyGosh...Amazing!

7 // Face Cream
This is another product I've had for a while, but didn't really utilize on a regular basis until this past month. I've been placing this on my cheek bones, nose and cupid's bow before applying foundation and it give a gorgeous sheen to the skin (and Kylie Jenner uses it! I love her beauty looks..I even bought her app).

8 // Pumpkin Dip
My bestie shared this pumpkin dip recipe with me and it's so so so yummy! I'm not a huge pumpkin fan, but this dip doesn't have a super strong pumpkin taste. I also double the recipe.

1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 of an 8-ounce tub whipped topping (thawed)
1 ounce cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoons instant vanilla or pumpkin pudding mix (or substitute with confectioner's sugar)
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Graham crackers or apples or anything you'd like to dip (chocolate chip teddy grahams are also good)!

Combine everything together, wisk and serve - how easy is that?!
It will last a week in the fridge in an air tight container. I prefer it after it's cold.

9 // Puffer Vest
This is a really warm vest and great for the in between, up and down temperatures. The best part? It has a hood that rolls up into the collar! Pretty AND practical.

10 // Highlighter
Becca makes beautiful highlighters and moonstone is no exception. I haven't tried opal which is the "favorite" among YouTubbers and bloggers, but I would recommend moonstone any day. It gives the skin a very stark highlight which I personally love - it lights up the face!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Good Morning Monday!

I've had quite a few questions about my hair care routine and what products I use. My routine is really not too intensive and I've narrowed down the products I use quite a bit. I recently got my shampoo and conditioner in a much larger size with pumps which I highly recommend. It lasts a lot longer and it makes showering much more simple. I have pumps on just about everything including my body wash (make sure to ask at Bath & Body Works if you buy lotions or body wash from there - I got gold and pink pumps recently!). I thought I'd share my step by step routine below...please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Step #1: Use Pureology Hydrate Shampoo. I let this sit while I use my body wash and then I rinse. I used to use wayyy too much shampoo until my hair stylist informed me I should be using less than a quarter size...and that's when I had long hair! She said if it doesn't seem like enough to just add water, not more shampoo. The things you learn way too late in life!

Step #2: Use Pureology Hydrate Condition (I usually use two-ish pumps). I like to let my conditioner sit on my hair for as long as I can while I exfoliate and shave. When I want to deep conditioner my hair I use Macadamia's Deep Repair Masque - really amazing for coarse or damaged hair - and the winter time.

Step #3: After I rinse out my conditioner I squeeze out all of the excess water, towel dry and then tie my hair up in a towel while I dry off, lotion and wash my face, etc. Then I brush out my hair (I use a thin Chi brush...I need to invest in a nicer brush) and apply two pumps of Macadamia Nourishing Leave-In Cream. Then I brush out my hair again.

Step #4: If I don't have to go anywhere right away (usually I wash my hair at night) I let it air dry for a while while I eat or blog or watch tv. Once my hair is slightly damp I will blow dry while brushing out with my Chi brush. I've had a CHI blow dryer (similar) for well over seven years now (holy cow!) and it's still going strong. I can't find it online anymore, but I have my sights set on this baby once I decide to upgrade.

Step #5: After my hair is completely dry I will apply Moroccan Oil (the original) - I forgot to post a picture above. This is crucial to my hair looking silky and healthy. I don't think I could live without it! Sometimes I also use Moroccan Oil with my leave-in cream for added nourishment.

Step #6: Next it's time to straighten (I use this and want this) or curl (I use this) - my favorite part! [fyi: If I wear my hair naturally curly I don't brush or blow dry.]  I use CHI Iron Gaurd before sectioning off my hair, usually into three sections. Even though my hair is short it is still very thick. When straightening I use a carbon comb (it doesn't melt due to the high heat) and run it through my hair before I place the straightener on each section of hair so that it's smoother and straighter. The hardest part about my new, short hair has been straightening the back - it's a challenge sometimes! If I use my curling wand I still section my hair and when I'm done I finger brush my hair so that I don't undo all of my work, but so that it's less precise.

Step #7: I use Moroccan Oil once more! If my hair is curly I scrunch in the product versus running it through with my fingers.

Step #8: I use my carbon comb (you can find these are beauty supply stores) to tease sections of my hair. This is also a requested post that I promise I am working on, in addition to pictures of the back of my hair - coming soon! I tease from bottom to the top. I will take a large chunk of hair and tease, then let out a portion from underneath and tease again, until I get to the very top. I tease a section in the back and then the right and left sides separately.

Step #9: Once done teasing I use this hairspray (my all time fav) to set the volume and then I use my comb to lightly fix the shape of my hair, being careful not to undo my teasing work. Then I set again with hairspray. Sometimes if the front keeps falling I will use this hairspray to really keep it in place. I don't use it all over though because it makes the hair pretty stiff.

Step #10: Viola hair is done! Take a #selfie :)

Also, I usually only have to wash my hair once or twice a week, because it doesn't produce oil very fast. If I need a touch up before my next wash I use Batiste Dry Shampoo (it's the best!).

I hope this was helpful and I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

I've mentioned this crepe blazer from H&M before and decided it was worth it to mention it again! Plus I'm wearing it to work today and wanted to make sure everyone knew how fabulous it is. If you're looking for a slightly more casual work blazer OR a blazer to dress up jeans, this is the one for you! AND it costs $24.99 which is amazing for a jacket.

I ended up buying it in olive, emerald and black and have already gotten plenty of wear out of them. Today I wore the olive color above with an olive tank and olive booties (& navy skinny pants). Very monochromatic which usually isn't my thing, but I really like it!

If you haven't tried on this jacket I definitely would. I purchased all of mine true to size and it's fairly forgiving because it hangs open in the front. The material is also really soft and not too thick, making it great for the inconsistent office temps.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I will be doing more cleaning out, more organizing, and probably some napping with little Miss Heidi. Nothing like having a free weekend to snooze, watch Hocus Pocus and dive into some Halloween candy. See you all next week!

My favorite nail polish at the moment - Funny Bunny

The comfiest plaid shirt (size up!) - plaid post here.

Used Makeup Geek Cosmetics eye shadow in Glamorous to achieve this pop of gold.

Miss Heidi always watching my every move and always trying to "help" me blog.

Sweater is H&M and so comfortable! Watch is here and on SALE!

Used Too Faced Sugar Pop eye shadow palette. Love the macaron packaging!

The princess after visiting the groomer. She smelled like Starburst.

Jacket is the best and from H&M.

Jacket again & top from Lush + Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM.

We love nap time and Heidi always sleeps in the most interesting ways.

Best faux fur vest everrrr from Top Shop purchased during #Nsale.

Break from furniture building to have lunch with the fam and three pups! Of course Heidi sat at the table (#diva).

Plaid Flannel and Ash shoes (couldn't find online).

Best UK sweatshirt from my grandparents. They make sure I have attire to cheer on my C-A-T-S from Virginia!

I hope this was helpful and I hope you've started your fall & winter shopping - so many fun items this year and thanks to the up and down temps you can start wearing your warm clothes sooner than later. I personally love the cooler weather, I just wish Mother Nature would make up her mind. I went from feeling fine Sunday to feeling like I had a horrible head cold Monday after the weather went from 70 to 30! Thank goodness for Mucinex and some much needed downtime. I'm ready for the weekend to rest some more and to continue organizing my apartment. It's very close to being all done!

I've had some questions about this flannel plaid shirt (only $24.99) that I posted recently on Instagram (pardonmuahinsta) and figured I would share some details and where to find it.

Last year I purchased a different flannel shirt from H&M and got so much wear out of it that I wanted to purchase some more. I decided to look early and luckily they still had my size in multiple colors. FYI - I size up in these shirts because 1. they run a little big, 2. i like a more slouchy fit, 3. they tend to shrink up a bit in the wash (especially if you dry them, which I wouldn't suggest). I purchased the green & navy above and also the red & navy. And now I'm wishing I owned a navy puffer vest to pair them with!

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the quality or the feel. I wore this outfit to run lots of errands one Sunday afternoon and felt stylish but also comfortable.

Hopefully you all are having a wonderful week! Sadly I couldn't post on Monday or Tuesday, but went out of town unexpectedly and decided quality time with loved ones came before social media. Thanks for understanding!

See ya'll Thursday!

My apologies for the lack of posts yesterday and today! I had to go out of town unexpectedly and have been unable to blog. But don't worry I will be back with a new post tomorrow!

Thanks for reading :). And have a beautiful Tuesday!

Most of you who have been following & reading Pardon Muah for a while know that a couple weeks ago I cut off a lot of my hair in exchange for a new blonder angled bob. Yesterday I went in for a trim and color touch up and am absolutely in love! Not that I wasn't the first time, but we tweaked the layers so they are more blended and made the front more angled. AND my hair stylist used balayage again to give me a beautiful blonde! You can't tell in this picture but my roots are still darker and there is a lot of dimension throughout (more pictures to come).

I've had a lot of questions about my hair and thought it might be a good idea to ask you what questions you may have. I'd love to do a post about products, teasing, tools, etc.

So please let me know in the comments below what you'd like to know!

I know a lot of you have asked about pictures of the back and sides so I will make sure to post views from all different angles [hopefully next week].

Have a wonderful weekend!

Shop Bop Picks

 Tee // Jeans // Scarf // Boots // Purse // Sunglasses // Phone Case // Bag Charm

Happy Friday Thursday!

Ugh I've been a day ahead all week - does that ever happen to anyone else?! I keep thinking today is the end of the week, but I've still got two days left.

BUT, it's a good thing, because there is still a day left in ShopBop's Friends & Family Event (INTHEFAM25)! It's 25% off your entire order on almost everything on the site! ShopBop offers many designer brands (i.e. Tory Burch, Karen Walker, Current/Elliott, Ray Ban, etc) so the cost difference is huge! AND it's free shipping. It's a great time to stock up on fall essentials too. Blanket scarves, booties, dark colored totes, and so much more.

I've linked some items I'm loving above and the tote I already own (and LOVE.) Also, Current/Elliott Jeans - above in black - usually run short, which is awesome for the vertically challenged.

Sephora Holiday Wish List

Hello Wednesday! Hello Sephora Holiday Wish List!

Does anyone else plan ahead in anticipation of the VIB Rouge 20% holiday discount?! I figured this year I would plan ahead so that when the 20% rolls around I won't forget anything important. I always forget something and then kick myself for having to pay full price. I also plan on asking for some of these items as stocking stuffers from family so my Sephora online shopping basket doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. I decided to put all of the items I could think of that I want in my shopping basket and no joke it totaled $1797.50! hahaha! Needless to say I'm not going to spend anywhere near that (mom don't faint).

1. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
I've heard so many wonderful things about this setting powder that I have to give it a try. I've gone through numerous NARS translucent pressed powders and would love to find another holy grail all over powder. Plus, I feel like I won't go through a loose powder quite so quick. I'm not usually a huge fan of loose powder, because it makes a mess, but I'll make an exception for this one!

2. Marc Jacobs Beauty The Face II Buffing Foundation Brush
Mark Jacobs brushes are my favorite of all time! I use The Face I Liquid Foundation Brush every day. Every day! The quality is amazing and my foundation goes on easily and flawlessly. I cannot wait to try the buffing foundation brush and it's also more compact for travel and can be used with my powder foundation (and also the Make Up For Ever foundation stick).

3. ghd Platinum Professional Styler
ghd's newest flat iron heats up to 365 degrees in 20 seconds (yes!) and is suppose to deliver 50% less breakage, two times more color integrity, and 20% more shine. Who wouldn't want that?! I currently own a ghd and I highly recommend the brand. Sadly, thick hair has a way of killing straighteners - I swear they don't get as hot after months of use, but my current ghd I've had for over three years which I think is a record. With my new short hair I want to cause the least damage possible and also would love to have shinier, healthier locks.

4. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
I currently own Flowerbomb in the rollerball version and loveee it! The rollerball is perfect for travel and to throw into my purse, but I'd love to add the full size to my collection. I'm not a perfume hoarder and rarely love many scents, but this one is worthy of the vanity!

5. Bio Ionic 10X Ultra Light Speed Dryer
This is the product that tops my list! While researching blow dryers I stumbled upon the Bio Ionic. Every review was so positive and almost every person said, not only did their hair dry faster, but their hair dried like it had already been straight ironed. Now...for someone with frizzy, coarse, thick hair, this is music to my ears. While watching the tutorial on the dryer they stated that the life of the dryer is so long it may be the last you every buy - making the steep price tag much more reasonable. I've had my CHI blow dryer for years and years and it still works, but I want something lighter for travel and love the perks of a faster dryer that also reduces frizz.

6. Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper
I'm always scared of lip plumper, because I don't like the feeling of my lips being on fire - it really freaks me out. But, I've heard Dior's lip plumper is fantastic and worthy of owning. Plus, I do have smaller lips so I would love to give them a little oomph!

7. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation
I love, love, love Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation! And I would love to own it in the stick formula for travel. So easy and no worries it will spill in my bag if I take it along for touch ups. I wear color 128 (Almond) - this is the perfect shade when I'm self tanning - which is basically all of the time :).

8. HOURGLASS Veil Mineral Primer
I have been waiting and waiting to repurchase this primer, because it is so expensive! But, it's the best primer I've ever used by far. Sometimes I wear primer, but can't really tell the difference, but with the Veil Mineral Primer I can truly tell the difference in the smoothness of my face. And it doesn't break me out! I'd love to invest in the 2 oz version so that I don't have to repurchase for a long, long time.

I hope this was helpful and gave you some ideas for your own holiday shopping! Also, I realize the holidays are fairly far away, but I love to plan ahead and it's great to give ideas to family & friends. Happy Sephora shopping!

When you own a surplus of beauty products it can be hard to pick out your "favorites," but lately I've been trying to do just that. The whole moving process created a great time for me to clean out (and there's more cleaning out to come!). My makeup was not an exception to the process and I sold, gave away and threw away a lot of products that were old, I didn't like or didn't use. My goal is to get my beauty arsenal paired down to only items that I love and use on a regular basis. That's not to say I won't have multiple blushes and lipsticks, however, right now I have too much inventory and not enough time to use it all up.

So...that brings me to my bronzer "favorite." While perusing Sephora a couple months ago I stumbled upon Make Up For Ever's new Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer. Of course the packaging is slim and beautiful and I ended up choosing shade 20M, because it wasn't too light nor too dark and it had more brown and less orange undertones.

And I instantly fell in love!

The Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer is gorgeous on the skin! The formula is more dense so sometimes it's hard to tell how much product you are picking up at a time on your brush (love applying with MAC's 168 Large Angled Contour Brush), but it's also build able. What I love the most? This bronzer has a phenomenal sheen/glowing property. It isn't glittery by any means, but makes the skin look sun kissed and refreshed. This will definitely be a repurchase once I run out. It also claims to be waterproof.

This is a higher end product but totally worth the $$$. Plus, if you shop at Sephora and end up not liking something you buy you can return it at any time - even if you've used most of the product!

Happy Tuesday & Happy Bronzing!

Bootie Beauty

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

Hello Monday! Hello Fabulous Week!

Bootie season is officially in full swing! I have seen more amazing booties this season than ever before and it's so hard to choose which ones to buy. I will buy one pair and then I see another five pairs I feel like I can't live without. I've accumulated quite a few so I hope they stay in style forever!

I picked some popular styles above that I think you'll like. I own pair three (very similar to one) and five (they run true to size and are great for a more narrow foot). The Vince Camuto bootie (five) is now price matched at Nordstrom 30% off! I searched and searched and searched for the perfect leather bootie to wear under my flared jeans. Some were too big, some too small, some really uncomfortable and finally I found this pair and love them! They look awesome under my jeans and the heel height is perfect AND they look great worn with skinny jeans, thanks to the cut criss cross detailing and buckle. Quick note: if you have a wider foot these may be uncomfortable.

I'm drooling over bootie two in black. I have one pair of black suede booties, but they have seen better days - so these are next on my list! I haven't tried them on, but I've tried on the taller version and they are really, really comfortable! Plus, the fringe moves around when you walk, making them even more fun. Bootie six is another I haven't tried, but it's been super popular all over the blogging world since Nordstrom's anniversary sale so I would assume they are pretty comfy and they look awesome on!

I hope everyone had a long, relaxing weekend. I spent Thursday - Sunday moving from one apartment to another and boy am I exhausted! In my mind it wasn't going to be so much work, but oh I was wrong. This is the first move I've done by myself and my arms and body hurt - a lot! I did have help with the big furniture (thank goodness). But, in the end, I got everything into my new home, although a complete mess at the moment - it's driving me crazy. I went from four closets to one (yes, you heard me right, ONE). So I will be spending my week Pinteresting storage ideas for small spaces and am hoping my family takes some boxes off my hands when they come this weekend with my new furniture. Even though it's unorganized at the moment, I'm super excited about my new space. It's much cozier and homey than my last and I think Heidi is finally settling in.

Have a wonderful Monday filled with coffee, lipstick and lots of smiles :)!

I am so sorry that I didn't post yesterday and sadly won't be able to post today! Moving and also being sick has gotten the best of me...but I promise another beauty or fashion post will but up bright and early Monday! As for the move, it's going really well. I almost got all of my belongings from one apartment to the other which I was really proud of. And I'm really loving my new place. It's smaller, but really cozy and actually set up in a way I much prefer - I can't wait to post photos once it's finished. It'll be a little weird and unorganized for another week until my family delivers my new IKEA furniture. Heidi really has no idea what is going on, but I think she's a little stressed, so I took her to doggy daycare today so she can expend some energy and not be freaked out by the mess.

Speaking of is a story sure to make you laugh on your Friday. As usual, after work a couple days ago I ran Heidi outside to do her thing and as we were walking back in we saw a gentleman coming into the building from work. His hands were full so I let him in while trying to keep Heidi from tripping him as she tried to greet him (as she does with all people). She's the unofficial apartment building greeter. The gentleman stopped to reorganize his belongings and Heidi and I headed for the elevator to go upstairs. Now, the usual routine is that most of the time I take Heidi off her harness in the elevator and as soon as the door opens she beelines for our door.

BUT, on this particular day she jetted out of the elevator and down the hallway away from our apartment. Now don't worry it's a very safe building and she can't really run away, but she's so defiant that she never comes back until I catch her - she thinks this is a funny game and that I need the exercise I guess.

Well, in walks the gentleman who still has his hands full from work.

What does Heidi do?

Yep, quickly makes her way down the hall to accompany this man home (on the opposite side of the building from where I've been standing). I know this is what she's doing and I try my best to run down the hallway in my heels, but to my dismay and horror she slips right into his apartment as he opens the door! He didn't even see her behind him. So here I come..."sir...sir..Sir! My dog is behind y...and before I can finish my sentence in she runs.

So there I stand mortified that my fur child has just let herself into some stranger's home and also that I'm at fault for her horrible behavior (she seriously needs to go to doggy boarding school - yes that's a real thing). Luckily, the gentleman was very kind and told me I could come into catch her. So in I run to his home, which thankfully was clean (and beautifully decorated if I might say). As Heidi cowers in surrender and I slap her leash on, my eyes slowly look up to see a equally stunned lady jump off the bed to get out of view. Don't worry she was clothed, but do you know that awkward feeling when someone stops by and you have a face mask on or you haven't brushed your hair? I think this is exactly how she felt by my intrusion. If for some reason she reads my blog...I am SO sorry!

I finally rushed Heidi and myself out of this man's apartment as he stopped me to ask Heidi's name. I told him and then assured him she was going home to time out (which really only meant she didn't get a treat for going outside). After the fact I can have a really good laugh about the whole ordeal, but at the time I was incredibly embarrassed. Makes for a great story though! Life with Heidi is never boring.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and great weather. I hear it's supposed to be cold here so I plan on unpacking and organizing and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. Happy Friday!

Hello. Hello. Hello.

Apologies for no post yesterday. I'm suffering from a nasty head cold and I've had a headache for over a week straight. So after work I've been heading straight for my pjs, a cozy blanket and my couch. Bravo and E! Hollywood have been my best friends and luckily they provide hours of entertainment.

I thought I'd share some recent work outfits from my Instagram (pardonmuahinsta), because they are great transition outfits for this time of year. It can be challenging to balance hot & cold weather all at the same time. I know where I live it will be sweaty hot one day and then freezing cold the next. Sunny & pleasant one day and then raining & gloomy the next. Layering is a perfect compromise or a nice light weight tunic/sweater. And of course a nice pair or boots or booties!

I'm so excited because I finally move tomorrow! I'm downsizing to save $$ and have spent the last couple of weeks selling all of my furniture that is too big to fit. And to replace the pieces that I need like a dresser, tv stand and night stand, my parents are bringing me new pieces from IKEA - I literally cannot wait! The apartment is going to be quite tiny, but I think it will be cozy and warm. I decided to redo my bedding so that it feels new and fresh and I cannot wait to share once it's all put together.

Fall Favorites

Thanks to the rainy weather and the imminent threat of flooding (ugh) I spend a lot of quality time in bed and on the couch watching YouTube videos and reading blogs. A common theme of every video and post right now is Fall and many bloggers & YouTubbers are doing the Fall Favorites Tag created by the beautiful Jaclyn Hill. I thought it would be fun to take the tag and create a post centered around the fall themed favorites. Above are the items I chose that remind me the most of fall or that put me in the mood for the upcoming holidays.

The candle I chose is Leaves from Bath & Body Works. It was almost impossible to pick a favorite because I love so many of their scents (especially vanilla pumpkin marshmallow and pumpkin cupcake), but the smell of leaves reminds me the most of fall. That crisp, leaves will be falling, sweater wearing, bootie loving kind of feeling comes to mind the minute I catch a whiff.

Faux lipstick from MAC is by far the most "fall" like color in my collection and the most wearable. I can wear it to work, out for drinks, and to run errands without feeling like it's too bold. On my lighter skin tone it shows up darker than my usual nudes...a darker mauvey shade.

As for my favorite fall drink, of course it's from Starbucks! My current fav is the new Toasted Graham Latte, but I also loveee their Caramel Apple Spice (not a coffee, but so amazing). I'm still on the hunt for a favorite Keurig K-cup. If you have any recommendations let me know! It would save me lots of $$$$.

My favorite fall blush is really a three-in-one from Hourglass (now available in a six palette). I've been using Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure non-stop and am so pleased with the long-wearing quality and pigmentation. Both are darker than what I wear in the spring and summer and pair perfectly with a darker fall lip. A little goes a long way - AND they have the beautiful flow you find in Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders.

I got to wear my favorite clothing item for the first time this weekend. The Cotton Jacket from H&M. It fits like a dream and is fantastic for the fall temps here in Southwest Virginia. It's the perfect military type jacket that is in style right now, but a little more "pretty" and refined. Not quite as rugged. I also love the fact that you can tighten the waist with pull strings so that it fits your shape!

My all time favorite fall/Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus! I could watch it every night of October - I seriously put the ABC Family 13 Nights of Halloween movie schedule in my planner hah.

My favorite TV show isn't fall themed, but it debuts this time of year - Dancing With the Stars. I didn't watch the first couple seasons, but once I got into it I was officially addicted. It's so much fun to watch and with my dance background, is something I really enjoy.

I'm not really a food oriented person so Thanksgiving isn't really my favorite holiday. I love spending time with family and I love watching the Macy's Day Parade, but I'm never super pumped about turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes. Picking a food was rather difficult, but in the end I picked creamed corn casserole - never thought I would talk about corn on my blog haha...but my mom's recipe is super tasty! I also love Thanksgiving desserts, well really desserts in general.

As for a Halloween costume I don't have a favorite that I've ever worn. But pretty much any costume worn by a pup is adorable! So my vote is for a cute pet costume :).

What are your fall favorites? I'd love to know!

September Favorites

Found these awesome booties from Sam Edelman at TJ Maxx a couple weeks ago and have been wearing them non-stop! They are extremely comfortable and pair perfectly with distressed skinny jeans. I also love the fact that they aren't suede so I worry less about messing them up (I had to spray down all my suede boots and booties this passed weekend and I'm still nervous they will get dirty).

This is my NEW favorite foundation. I picked it up because I needed a shade darker for when I self-tan (which is almost always) and now it might be my favorite foundation I own. The consistency is a little bit thicker and it takes a little more work to blend it all into the face, but I like the more matte finish and the coverage. I don't feel like it's sliding around on my face during the day. Plus the coloring is perfect! I have shade 128.

This was a purchase I thought about for a long, long time. It is a tad pricey for what it is, but let me tell you, this was one of the best buys ever! I no longer use a traditional wallet and keep all of my cards in this pouch. Plus, I can hook the keychain to my keys when I don't want to take a purse or a clutch and it's so easy!

Starbuck's newest fall creation! And you need to try it - so yummy!

An essential for your beauty kit! Keeps skin beautiful and dewy, while also amplifying the color of your eyeshadows. I spray this on before my foundation and also after applying all of my face makeup & powder. Also great for long flights and refreshing your skin throughout the day.

If you are vertically challenged you need to try these flared jeans! They fit true to size, are incredibly flattering, and I didn't even have to hem them (I'm 5'2" and wear 3-4 inch heels). Nordstrom is sold out of the dark wash, but I've linked the medium wash.

I found these heels at TJ Maxx and they are the best, most comfortable work shoes. If I find them again I'm seriously buying three pairs. They were marked down to $35 and one of my coworkers found them the other day in grey. They retail for twice as much!

I have the cutest sample of Tory Burch's perfume. It's actually identical to the normal bottle, just miniature. I've been wearing this a lot lately and once i get through the sample I would definitely consider buying the full size. It has sort of a muted floral scent and usually I dislike anything floral, but it's really nice!

I've had this phone case since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and love how thin it is! It's super cute and fits easily in my pocket without looking incredibly bulky. It's obviously not as protective as an Otter Box, but I keep a gorilla glass screen protector on the front of my phone in case it drops. And I actually did drop my phone with the previous screen protector and while the protector shattered in places, my phone stayed unscathed.

10. Fan Brush
I picked up a $2 Elf fan brush from Walmart, because I wanted a different brush to apply my highlighter. I had one a long time ago and didn't ever use it, but lately this has been my go to. I thought it would deposit enough product, but it really does. I probably over apply to be honest hah! You just sweep your brush into your highlight and then lightly brush along your cheeks, nose, cupid's bow, etc.

Have a fabulous weekend and if you live on the east coast - stay dry!

Rainy Day Outfit

Dress || Boots || Heels || Umbrella || Bag || Watch || Lip

Soooo...this rainy weather has been horrible. It's been raining for days and it's supposed to keep on until the end of the weekend. It's rained so much that flooding has been a huge problem. I'm even worried the first floor of my apartment may flood (I live near a river)! They are predicting 5-15 additional inches of rain in the next couple days - crazy! Luckily, I'm supposed to be visiting family out of town this weekend so I'm hoping the torrential downpours can hold off until Heidi and I get out of dodge. I also realized, in case of emergency, I have no if we get rained in I'll be going door to door asking for water, milk and cereal (and candy) hah!

SO in honor of this rainy, dreary weather I've put together a rain friendly outfit. Any kind of rain boot is essential, especially if you have to walk a long way into work from the parking lot like me. I toss my heels into my bag and change them when I get into the office. I also love a classic, long sleeved, business appropriate dress that can be casual or more work appropriate. The green one above is perfect for the in between temps. Also, the green Michael Kors Skylar watch was sold out for a very long time and it's available again on their website - and it's on sale!

Thanks for stopping by!

If you view Pardon Muah via mobile device it should be much easier to read now. I just had the template updated so that it's mobile you don't have to zoom in and out to see pictures and details. Enjoy!
