Arm Party

It's an arm party and you're invited!

Today's post is an exciting one and includes a special giveaway! I've teamed up with Jord Wood Watches to give one lucky guy or gal a $75 e-voucher to use towards their own, stunning Jord watch and every person that enters will receive a $20 e-voucher (excluding the winner)! These unique watches are like nothing you've ever seen and make great creative gifts. You may be wondering what in the world a collection of wood watches looks like?! You can view their women's collection here

I'm wearing the Frankie Ebony & Gold and you probably can't even tell that it's wood! The best part? It's so nice and light! So much lighter than any of my other timepieces, which makes it much less cumbersome to wear. Plus, it pairs with everything! At first I wasn't sure if a black watch would go with all of my usual attire, but it really does!

Make sure to enter the giveaway HERE! Contest ends September 25th.

I Don't Sweat, I Sparkle

Tank (c/o) also love this, this, and this!

Good Morning Friends!
So sorry for no beauty post Friday, but last week totally kicked my booty.

Speaking of booty kicking...today's post is all about my current workout routine. Some of you may know, and some may not, that I was a ballet dancer for years and years and years. After I stopped dancing my senior year of high school I struggled to find work outs I actually liked and actually felt were effective. I did the gym thing, but that never really made me happy. It wasn't until my second year of graduate school that I found Pure Barre and fell head over heels in love (yes, in love). It's unlike any other workout and I saw things lift and tighten like never before. It has some ballet and pilates components which I really like, and isn't a cardio based workout so I'm not crazy sweaty when I leave. Plus you can look cute while you lift, tone and burn!

This super cute "I Don't Sweat, I Sparkle" tank is from one of my favorite online boutiques called She Is Boutique. And it's an incredible $24! Great quality and a very soft material. I'm a true believer that if you feel like you look good, you'll work out harder. And this top is just the ticket!

Unfortunately, there isn't a Pure Barre close to me now, but luckily one is opening next month (yayyy!). In the meantime I've joined a local gym and have been keeping my workouts pretty simple (I usually work out for an hour and a halfish):
  • Gentle Stretching // gotta prevent those injuries!
  • Ankle Rotations // to prevent shin splints while walking
  • Booty Blaster on bosu ball // similar to this (start video at 8:30)
  • Crunches using a small ball behind my lower back like this // one hundred w/ a break half way
  • Lower Body Crunches // 30 seconds with back, arms and head flat on mat, legs lifted to the ceiling, lifting lower body/booty off the floor using only my lower ab muscles
  • Plank // 2-3 minutes (I have an obsession with planking and time myself on my iphone)
  • Arms // Right now I don't really have a consistent arm workout. I like to use the 10 pound weights to do some arm curls and 5 pounds for over head press.
  • Treadmill // one hour of walking at a fairly quick pace
  • OR Elliptical // one hour switching up a forward and backward motion every 5 minutes
  • OR Treadmill // 30 minutes + Elliptical // 30 minutes
  • Final Stretch // a great way to wind down - and then I head to Jamba Juice!
Happy Monday and don't forget to check out She Is Boutique!

Light Pink Lace

Good Morning Ladies!

I have a little something special and a little something lace for you today. If you haven't heard of Adore Me, it's a monthly membership for beautiful and affordably priced bras and lingerie. Their membership is super reasonable and every 6th bra/lingerie set is free! Plus, shipping and exchanges are free. You can also make a one time purchase and pay as you go.

I chose the Quinn Unlined Bralette in light pink and I was so pleased when it arrived! I'm all about a pretty bralette that can peek through a slouchy sweater or tee. To me, it's an okay way to show a little skin without being too "wow," if you know what I mean. I know I usually dread having to shop for bras and undies, but with Adore Me it makes it a lot more fun, and there's such a wonderful selection of styles and colors for everyone.

Make sure to check out their site, you'll be sure to find something you love!

What's In My Work Bag

Tote Bag c/o // Dress (similar) // Black Pumps (similar) // Sunglasses // Lip Color (d is for danger)

It's that time again...it's Motivation Monday and I hope you're week is off to a great start! I'm so excited to share one of my favorite tote bags with you today. You may be asking what a tote bag has to do with motivation and I'll tell you. I find a lot of my drive and motivation through organization. If I feel like everything is in it's place, clean, and straightened up, my day is sure to start right and I feel I get a lot more done. That means an organized house, an organized desk, and yes, even an organized work bag.

I'd been on the lookout for a different work tote for quite some time that wasn't super expensive. I absolutely love my Neverfull, but I don't always like having a bag worth quite a bit of $$$$ sitting out at work, and it comes with only one small pocket, so everything falls into an endless abyss. The Colorful Faux Leather Shopper by Poverty Flats by Rian, sold exclusively at Nordstrom, is exactly what I needed! It comes at a fantastic price point and has an incredible inner pocket that snaps in and out in case you want to pack it in your luggage or use it as a toiletry bag. Plus, the inner lining creates three separate compartments and has a zipper pocket, cell pocket, and catchall pocket.

Here are the items I don't leave home without when heading to work: laptop, planner, notebook, pencil pouch (with pens, highlighters, whiteout and post its), a pair of sunglasses with case, a pretty lip product, a small bag (with hand sanitizer, powder, small brush, excedrin, eyedrops, Mentos or gum, etc.), cell phone, keys. I always try to keep everything in its place so when I need it, I know where it is.

I absolutely love the gold color of my shopper, because it goes with everything! If you want a fun splash of color it also comes in coral. Shop the link above or below and have a fabulous Monday!

Ready In a Flash

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I got a request from a follower to do a post on the cosmetics I use when I'm getting ready quickly and don't have a ton of time to contour, bake, and patiently put on eyelashes. So I've put together my 10 minute makeup routine and the products I use when I'm in a rush or don't feel like putting on a full face of makeup.  Please ignore the dirty makeup containers hah - I didn't realize how bad they were until I uploaded these photos. And also keep in mind I've got my routine down to a science so it's really easy for me to use these items quickly - even though it may seem like a lot to some. Enjoy!

#1 Moisturize!

I forgot to take a photo of my moisturizer but I use this one here. Dermatologist approved and great for sensitive skin. I apply first thing in the morning so I have hydrated skin throughout the day. It's also a great base for your makeup so it doesn't get stuck in any dry patches.

Next, i use my facial mist. I swear by MAC's Fix+ spray and would recommend it to anyone. Great for sensitive skin and amazing for travel when you need to rehydrate when flying.

After I spray my face liberally with my facial spray I apply a sweet smelling, conditioning lip balm. Right now I'm using Nivea's Raspberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter and it smells like strawberry Starburst! I loveeee the smell so much and it's only a couple dollars at the drugstore. I apply this before other products so that my lips can hydrate before I apply lipstick or gloss.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer comes at a ghastly price, but it's oh so good. It is most definitely a splurge (especially for the large size) but this is my favorite primer of all time. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and it goes on like silk...no joke. So silky soft and I do see a difference in the longevity of my foundation.

Then I'm ready to apply my favorite foundation, which at the moment is Maybelline's Fit Me Matte & Poreless. I've been wearing this foundation (only) for weeks and can't get enough. The coverage is amazing and the color is just right, plus the price is so reasonable.

Next is my favorite step! I love applying concealer, because it instantly brightens the face. I've also been using Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer and it's equally as amazing. It's not too thick, but gives plenty of coverage. Plus the price point is...on point

Okay ladies & gents this NARS Powder is my FAV. I've gone through so many I can't even count. This is by far the best pressed translucent powder ever! It's very fine and doesn't create a white cast on the face in person or in pictures. The top has a sort of "film" on top so originally I was using too much product, thinking I wasn't getting enough on my brush, but trust me you are! A little does go a long way. It keeps me matte all day long.

Next up is bronzer. No matter how rushed I am I always like to put some color on my face. It brightens the complexion and since I'm usually pretty fair, makes me look a lot more healthy. Make Up For Ever's Bronzer is truly amazing and has such a natural coloring. Highly recommend!

After I bronze it up I add a little color to my cheeks. One of my favorite blushes of all time is YSL's Baby Doll, because it's a true light pink. And the product lasts so long. I've had mine foreverrr and it's still going strong! Bronzer and blush are great quick steps to making the face look healthy and awake.

I'm not one to fill in my eyebrows every day, or even every other day. I absolutely love Anastasia's Clear Brow Gel. It's so quick and easy to use and keeps your brow hairs in place all. day. long. Great for everyone, especially those who don't want a long, drawn out (get it) brow routine.

Loreal's Double Extend Mascara is an awesome drugstore find! Thanks to blogger extraordinaire, Emily Ann Gemma, I've been using this lash primer for months and love it! I don't use the actual mascara side, just the primer. Some primers irritate my eyes, but this one has been nothing but wonderful. I apply two coats to each eye and after it dries, apply mascara. This is especially useful if you're in a hurry and don't have time to put on eye shadow and/or liner.

The Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara by Marc Jacobs has quickly become my favorite. The wand is very similar to that of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, but even better. It lengthens, thickens, and separates, creating wow volume! I've tried lots of drugstore mascaras but nothing seems to beat high-end so far.

Last, but definitely not lease, I spray 6-8 spritzes of Urban Decay's All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray all over my face. It will keep your makeup in place a lot longer and helps your products to settle into your skin. I've gone through four or five bottles.

#14 The Lips!

And don't forget your lips! Finish off your quick look with a quick swipe of a bright lip or a nude gloss. My favorites at the moment are MAC lipstick in Hue and Marc Jacobs gloss in Sugar Sugar.

Have an absolutely wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here Monday for an exciting "What's in my work bag" post featuring one of the best totes ever!

No Coffee No Workee

For those of you who followed myself and Justin (and Heidi) on Article of Society's Snapchat (aosdenim) this past weekend, thank you! We had such a fun time having brunch, shopping, sipping wine at a vineyard, relaxing, and even going to Justin's first "professional" haircut (lol). If you're not already following me on Snap, please do at pardonmuahsnaps.

Saturday I wore the outfit above, which was so comfortable I didn't even want to change for our dinner out. The jeans are from Article's of Society and so comfortable. I know I've said it multiple times, but they really are fantastic pants for travel and even lounging. I found this awesome coffee tank at TJ Maxx last year, and since it makes a cute coffee reference, I had to have it.

Quick & Exciting Note: You can now shop my posts and outfits on Witlee! You can use the widget on the sidebar to the right or you can go to this link here

Have a wonderful Wednesday and I will see you all Friday!
