A Gift For Your Guy

Hello & Happy Halloween Friends!

Justin and I are excited about tonight, because we are dressing up and heading to a friend's house to eat a smorgasbord of pumpkin flavored dishes and to hand out candy. I'm going as a unicorn (picture posted on Instagram) and the best part is that it's a onesie! I mean, can you get any more comfortable than a onesie?! Nope. Don't think so. Justin is going as a cereal killer... he took a white tee and glued small cereal boxes stabbed with spoons and covered it in fake blood hahaha! It's quite creative.

I'm also really excited for this week's posts. I decided to do a Holiday Preview week where I share gift guides and holiday attire. And I'm going to be blogging Monday-Friday this week, so make sure to stop by each day to check out what I'll be sharing. I've got some bright bedazzled holiday heels, festive nail polishes, beauty gift guides, and today, the perfect gift for your guy.

I'm a big beleiver in starting your holiday shopping early. There's always so many people to shop for and it can be hard to keep things creative, especially when it comes to guys gifts. Today I'm sharing a wood watch from Jord Wood Watches that would make an excellent gift for your boyfriend, husband, brother, father, grandfather, etc. Justin has had his eye on wood watches since the beginning of the season, but at first I wasn't so sure about this new trend. I started looking and when I saw the watch featured above, I was really impressed and thought, "What a cool watch!"  I kid you not, when Justin saw it it was like Christmas morning. I've never seen him get so excited!

Justin was kind enough to write a review for today's post. His review is below:

"I've been looking to add a wooden watch to my very small collection of watches for awhile now so when Amanda asked if I would be interested in helping to feature a male watch on Pardon Muah, I was all in. I decided to go with Zebrawood & Dark Sandalwood mainly because of the skeleton design (another high desire on my watch collection wishlist) and the brown features which make it easy to pair with just about any clothing choice. The watch comes in a cool wooden box which included a nifty tray compartment that can be used to house extra links.

My favorite feature is the skeleton design; being an engineer I am inherently intrigued by the intricacy and mechanical aspects of how the watch works. You can see various gears and cogs on both the front and back of the watch. The ticking of the second hand can be clearly seen from the front while the back side shows the rotating mechanism that is used to keep the watch wound with movement by way of actually wearing the watch. The self-winding auto mechanical drive, which eliminates the need for a battery, is one of the best features of the watch. When fully wound the watch has a stated 36 hour power reserve which means you can take the watch off and it should stay running for roughly 36 hours.

Another feature I like is the double clasp used to secure the watch onto your wrist. I've never seen or had a watch with this type of attachment, which makes it such a unique feature. Overall, I am extremely happy with this watch and have received many compliments due to it's rare wooden design and many unique features."

You can check out Justin's watch here and the entire collection of men's watches here. They also make gorgeous women's watches in all sort of fun colors! October Favorites

8. Foundation // 9. Phone Case  // 10. Pearl Pants

#tgif friends!

It's Friday and I'm feelin' fancy with my lipgloss on! How cute is this shirt?! I had so much fun styling it and love how girly it all turned out. Especially with the additional of these amazing jeans with pearls and my favorite pumps of all time. I added some major arm candy, some sunnies, and a topknot to complete the look.

This tee is from Feelin' Fancy Apparel (@feelinfancyapparel on Instagram) where they have lots of cute designs and sayings for women and kids! Even v-neck tops is you prefer. I'm lovinggg this sweatshirt and this sweatshirt...perfect for the chilly fall temps!

I've also listed my October favorites above. One of which is the jeans I'm wearing in this post, another being the most amazing and affordable infinity scarf (available in other fall colors). Over the past month I've fallen back in love with a drugstore concealer that has great coverage and have been drenching myself in pumpkin cupcake body lotion & spray (it smells so good!). I've also included some other beauty favs and my go-to K-cup!

Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy the weekend! We are supposed to get rain, rain, rain so Justin and I plan on eating Halloween candy, living off cereal, watching a marathon of American Horror Story and, of course, cuddling with Heidi girl.

Fancy In Fringe

For today's Wear It Wednesday I'm bringing you the Faithful Fringe Top in Olive from Fabulous Find Boutique! It's very different from the tops I already own, and the fringe detailing is absolutely amazing. It gives the top movement and is sure to be noticed! The photos make the top look more brown than olive, but I assure you it's an adorable shade of green. For reference, I'm wearing a size small.

It's very soft and would also look wonderful paired with leggings for the fall. It has an oversized feel, but that's something I usually prefer when wearing a more form fitted pant. It's a really pretty piece that can be worn easily and effortlessly. A great top for travel!

I decided to style this top with my favorite pair of skinny jeans - I'm serious...favorite! They are on the pricey side, but the perfect pant for anyone vertically challenged, like myself. No hemming necessary and they fit like a dream. My knee high boots are some of the most comfortable I own and I highly recommend! I love that they are leather and dark brown so that I don't have to constantly worry about them getting dirty (like all of the suede boots & booties I own).

Make sure to check out Fabulous Finds Boutique on Instagram @fabfindsbtq and Facebook!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Heels & Happiness

Hello Friends & Hello Monday (back so soon?)

For today's Motivation Monday, I thought we'd talk a little bit about fashion and a lot about confidence. I'm sharing five ways to dress up your mood, and there's no better day of the week than today! I don't know about you, but when I feel good, or great, about what I'm wearing, my mood feels better too. Many times, when you look good, you feel better... am I right ladies & gentleman?!

That's not to say fashion solves all problems, but there are some simple things you can do to dress up your mood and add positivity to your style. And it doesn't mean spending tons of money.

This may seem quite simple, but color can quickly change your mood and the mood of others. They can evoke all sorts of emotions, ranging from happiness to sadness to anger, and even to hunger. For example, pink usually has a calming effect and many times, is associated with love, while yellow is cheery and warm, but can also create a feeling of frustration. Choose colors that make you feel better about yourself and that make you feel joy. For me, it's usually neutrals or pastel hues of pink!

Accessorizing gives you the opportunity to make an outfit your own. I like to keep my "add-ons" like jewelry fairly simple for the day to day. You'll usually find me wearing a cable ring & bracelet, a gold & green watch, several bangles, and of course, a tote large enough for three nights of travel hah. Each of these items has special meaning to me, as they were given to me by my father, my mother, my grandparents, and my boyfriend Justin. When I'm working, traveling, or just running errands for the day, I can look down and am reminded about the people that mean the most in my life (many of whom live far away), and that's guaranteed to boost my mood.

Okay, so this tip may not be for everyone, but boy does it work well for me! It even happened when I was styling this outfit...it went from cute to wow (at least in my mind) with the addition of a great pair of nude pumps. I mean, i was pumped hahah! Okay...lame joke, forgive me. A lot of this, for me, is that I'm short, so becoming taller gives me a feeling of power and assertiveness. Many times, people think I'm under 18 years of age (and I'm almost 28), but when I wear heels it projects a more mature image. Plus, I love to dress up, and enjoy a more polished look.

First of all, let's keep this classy shall we?! When I say "show off your assets" I mean it in the most appropriate sense of the phrase. For example, I like my waistline, so I usually tuck shirts in the front to create a nice shape. For some it's the legs, so a nice skinny pant will do that trick! For others, it's shoulders, so a beautiful cut out sweater may be the ticket! You get the idea...

If all else fails, always smile. There's nothing more inviting and welcoming than a smile. Especially when meeting new people or networking. Showing a sense of approachability can go a long way, and honestly, you never know who could use a simple, kind gesture. Smiles are contagious and the best kind of bug to catch. It also helps to exudes a certain kind of confidence!

Blanket Scarf (c/o) // Top // Jeans (c/o) // Pumps // Sunglasses // Nail Polish (forest green)

Now that we've talked about dressing up your mood, let's chit chat about this gorgeous blanket scarf from Frou Frou & Frill! I realize my last three posts involved plaid, but hey, it's fall, and you can't have fall without plaid right?

I love the non-traditional colors of this scarf. Usually you see oranges, reds, greens, and yellows, but this pastel palette is made up of blush & nude - two of my favorites! A great pair for work, as it's not too loud for the office. I paired mine with a pair of looser fitting high waist ankle jeans, a simple long sleeve tee, and my favorite pair of nude pumps.

Frou Frou & Frill also carries amazing handmade bangles like this and this! They also carry other fun jewels and plenty of different plaid scarves. You can follow them on Instagram @froufroufrill (trust me, it's like eye candy) and also on Facebook.

Normally the blanket scarves are $30, but shop now to get one for $20 shipped!

The winner of the She Is Boutique Beanie is Liz S.! Congrats Liz... be on the lookout for an email from me. I hope you all have a fabulous Monday. Let me know what makes you feel gorgeous in the comment section below!

Playfully Plaid + A Giveaway

Plaid Shirt Dress (c/o) // Adorable Beanie (c/o) // Booties // Watch // Bracelet // Ring // Nail Polish

It's finally Friday! Woo hoo!

Which means it's almost the weekend and it's time for a dose of fall fashion & beauty (AND a giveaway!).

Today I'm sharing a super soft, very versatile, shirt dress from She Is Boutique, paired with a beautiful beanie. The belt came with the dress and I loved the way it created a nice shape at the waistline. It also matched nicely with my favorite suede booties! This plaid shirt dress would also look fabulous with a long cardi or a jean jacket. You can even pair with leggings when the temperature starts to drop.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about wearing a beanie with my short hair, but I'm really loving it. And I love the rust color most of all. These cozy hats also come in tan, black, mustard, olive, and mauve. And for $14, you can order every color available!

Luckily for you, you have a chance to win a beanie of your own, in any color you choose! Make sure to enter below for a chance to win!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I'm wishing for fall temps, pumpkin flavored coffee, puppy cuddles, and quality time with my blogger boyfriend (don't worry he gave himself that nickname hahah). I'll be back next week with holiday preview posts, featuring festive attire and gift guides.

Plaid Shirt Three Ways

Is there anything better than plaid & flannel on a chilly fall day? I think not.

This Navy Plaid Button-Up Flannel Shirt is from Pineapple Lace, an online boutique with something for everyone. I couldn't decide how I wanted to style this top, so I ended up styling it three ways. It totally happened on the fly while Justin and I were taking photos. I was being incredibly indecisive, but it ended up working out for the best...I can't even pick which way is my favorite!

I'm wearing the shirt in a size small, which on me, is fairly oversized. But it gave me the length to tuck it in and to tie it in the front. I rarely prefer tight tops, and love the look of a skinny jean with a looser fitting tunic, tee or sweater. Plus, the flannel makes it very comfortable!

Check out Pineapple Lace on Instagram @pineapplelace and make sure to use the code PARDONMUAH to receive 10% off your order!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

How To Tie a Blanket Scarf

Blanket Scarf (c/o) // Top (old, love this) // Jeans (old, love these) // Shoes (on sale!) // Bag // Sunnies

I've been excited all weekend long to share this post with you!

Not only am I sharing an amazing, and cute, and affordable plaid blanket scarf from Frou Frou & Frill...I'm sharing how I tie and style mine. I've gotten several questions about this in the past, and seeing as scarf weather is quickly approaching, or already here for many, now would be a good idea for a step by step tutorial.

I hope these photos and instructions are helpful and easy to follow!

The scarf I am wearing is the Alex Plaid Blanket Scarf. It's great quality and a great size! I love that blanket scarves can actually be used as, go figure, blankets, should you need one. I've never owned one in this color pattern and know it will get lots of wear, as I am all about burgundy this year! And you can't go wrong with white & navy...am I right?!

Frou Frou & Frill has so many cute items, all great quality! You should absolutely follow the shop on Instagram @froufroufrill and Facebook. It's eye candy in every photo! They also sell amazing wire wrapped bangles (loving this, this and this) and other pretty baubles.

Here's to hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy shopping!
