Twirlin Around...

Similar crop top here & here & here // Black Floral Skirt (under $50) // Black Suede Wedges

Hello Friday, Hello Friends!

I'm quite happy it's Friday because I've been under the weather for the past couple days and seriously need some down time. I ended up staying home from work yesterday but I'm so congested it was impossible to get sleep...oh and our neighbor's dog barks all everything. I'm planning on making several trips to Starbucks for Medicine Balls (which by the way are delish!), staying in my pajamas, and trying to feel better by Monday. Keep your fingers crossed!

For today's post, I'm sharing one of my favorite spring finds under $50. I shared this floral wrap skirt on Instagram recently and it was such a hit I figured I would devote an entire post to it. I love that it's just the right length if I wear it with my black suede wedges (fyi I'm 5'2") and the day I wore it for date night I felt so glamorous. I paired it with a simple black crop top that is, unfortunately, sold out, but I've linked several other above and below that I'm also loving. I even linked some sunglasses similar to my designer pair that are only $12! And a super similar black clutch for $25.

Have a fab Friday!

Spring Beauty With EcoTools

Thank you to EcoTools at Ulta Beauty by Mirum Shopper for sponsoring this post.

Hello, beautiful friends! I'm so excited to share today's post with you. It's about one of my favorite beauty products - brushes! There's nothing better than having the right tools for the job and EcoTools at Ulta totally gets it. Their beautifully soft, handcrafted, 100% vegan brushes help you to create a flawless finish without breaking the bank in the process. I decided to share a fun, trendy spring look with a neutral smokey eye and a bright pop of color on the lips. Continue reading to find out which brushes I used to apply foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, etc.

First, I applied my foundation using the Large Base Blender from the Perfecting Blender Duo. The trick is to run the blender under water for several seconds, wringing it out before use so that's it's nice and damp. I like to place several dots of foundation on my face and then with the damp blender, press (not drag) the product into my skin. The Blender helps the skin to look dewy and fresh while keeping the product from looking too cakey or thick. Perfect for days you want a lighter application.

After my foundation is well blended, I use the smaller Mini Detail Blender from the Perfecting Blender Duo to apply my concealer. Lately, I've been using a product with a doe foot applicator that I use to place the concealer where I want under my eyes, down my nose, in the middle of my forehead between my eyebrows, and then use the blender to press it into the skin. It's an effortless way to bring brightness to the face and the shape of the Blender helps you get into smaller areas of the face.

Once you've applied foundation and concealer it's crucial to set the product so that it doesn't slip and slide around your face throughout the day. Using the Full Powder brush I carefully placed a translucent powder onto my skin. This brush has a large, dense head that effortlessly and evenly distributes product for a matte finish. You can tell when you've used enough because your skin doesn't feel sticky to the touch. You'll probably use even more powder than you need because this brush is so incredibly soft you'll want to keep using it.

I also used the Mini Detail Blender and a loose translucent powder to set/bake under my eyes for a more highlighted undereye and increased coverage so my mascara didn't transfer throughout the day.

One of my favorite steps is applying bronzer. It's a great way to liven up the face and gives a healthy dose of color without damaging the skin. Using the Define brush from the Define & Highlight Duo, I place a luminous bronzer on the temples of my forehead, the tip of my nose, and the hollows of my cheeks to contour. I recommend starting with a light hand and then adding more color as you go so it isn't too dark. Luckily, the Define brush doesn't deposit a heavy dose of product onto the skin.

For this pretty spring inspired look, I used a beautiful pink blush on the centers of my cheeks using the Powder/Blush brush, very similar to the Precision Blush Brush. This super soft brush applies color like a dream and is incredibly luxurious. You can also use this brush for powder like the name implies if you're depositing product on a smaller area.

Heidi recommends it too...

This is my favorite brush of all! The Highlight brush from the Define & Highlight Duo is so luxurious and easy to use. I swept it into my highlighter and then lightly dusted it over top of my eyebrows and onto the tops of my cheeks for a beautiful sheen. I've used fan brushes before but this one is extra fluffy and dense enough that you don't lose any of your product when applying.

Now for a simple smokey eye with the Ultimate Shade Duo! I used the Blend brush to blend a neutral tan shadow into the crease of my eyelid. Next, I used the Shading brush from the Eye Enhancing Duo Set to place a light shimmery cream color onto the lid. And lastly, I used the Smudge brush (found on the other end of the Blend brush) to place a dark chocolate brown onto the outer corner and right under my lower lash line. And lastly, The Blend brush again to ensure there were no harsh lines.

After my eyeshadow is completed I add a black cat eye with a liquid liner and several coats of my favorite mascara on my top and lower lashes. Then, it's onto brows! Your eyebrows help to define your face and before now all I've used is a clear gel to tame them. But recently I started using a Spoolie to brush them and an Angled Liner brush with a pencil eyebrow liner to lightly fill them in. Both are from the Brow Shaping Duo.

The last step is the lips! When creating a bright lip it's important to exfoliate and moisturize first. I then use a liner in an identical shade to my lipstick to line my upper and lower lip, followed by one or two coats of lipstick. In this case a hot pink! A bright lip is a fantastic way to make a statement and sometimes it's hard to make that statement perfect on the first try. I usually have a couple places where my lipstick goes beyond the bounds of my liner and I fix it by using a small amount of concealer and a Concealer brush to create precise lines. This brush is from the Ultimate Concealer Duo.

Good Morning Beautiful People!

I'm so excited to share an Instagram Roundup from my girl's trip to Vegas! We had such a fabulous time and I loved each and every outfit I ended up wearing. Please see below the photos for all of the linked outfit information. I've also added some of my favorites below for you to shop! I know that Instagram roundups are some of my favorite posts to read and I hope you like them too - I'll be sure to post them more frequently. If you're not following already, my Instagram is pardonmuahinsta.

Also, you'll notice some of the photos have a symbol in the lower right-hand corner. That's because now has an awesome App where you can screenshot photos and automatically get all the details. You just have to download it in the App store and screenshot when you see the symbol. It's much quicker than receiving the emails if you already belong to and houses everything you "like" or screenshot in one place.

I also had to tell you all that Justin and I went to see Ariana Grande last night and it was AMAZING! I haven't been to a concert in years but it was absolutely fantastic. I literally wish I could be her - so stunning, so sweet, and incredibly gorgeous! The concert was my birthday present from J and he got major points for coming along as my date and dancing with me to my favorite songs. He's a keeper!

Oh, and btw, If you’re thinking of planning a trip to Vegas, here is a list of great Las Vegas travel deals that offer airfare and hotel packages! I'm excited to share this, as has placed some of these images on their Pinterest board here.

Have a fab Monday!

Blush(ing) Beauty

TGIF friends! I'm so excited it's finally Friday!

I'm finishing up quite a bit of work today and preparing for a relaxing yet productive weekend. I have some fun posts coming next week that I can't wait to share with all of you. Normally on Saturday or Sunday, Justin will help me take three - six outfit shoots so on Friday's I always plan them out and hang them together with accessories and lipstick. It's a lot of fun putting everything together!

Today's post is a two for one - beauty AND style! I'm absolutely blushing over this amazing Ellie Off The Shoulder Dress by Tobi that is perfect for spring and summer. The off the shoulder trend is here to stay, at least for a long while, and I'm totally on board. I paired my dress with a gorgeous (and affordable) gold layered necklace and my new fav fab tortoise sunnies. My blush espadrilles are incredibly comfy and extremely versatile for dresses, skinny jeans, white pants, shorts, etc.

To wear with the Ellie Off The Shoulder Dress I've included some fantastic light pink makeup products and the BEST smelling candle I've ever owned. Seriously, it's a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I purchased this perfume many months ago and fell head over heels for the berry infused scent. Both the powder and stick highlighter add just the right amount of sheen to the skin and create a beautiful iridescence. The mascara is one of the most popular among bloggers and YouTubbers and trust me, try it for yourself! Lastly, the light pink blush is perfect for fair - medium skin tones and I like to layer it over a matte pink blush for extra dimension.

Make sure to check out all of the amazing styles Tobi has to offer and have a fabulous weekend!
