My Fav Designer Sunnies On Sale

I've shared this outfit several times on Instagram but realized I never posted the full look here on the blog. This floral brocade skort (yes, you're reading that right, skort) is by far one of my favorite pieces for Spring. The detailing is beautiful and flower embellished prints are going to be all the rage again this year. In order to transition it from cooler temps to warmer times, I paired it with a blush cable knit sweater. Pairing the skort with a cozy top helps to create a look that isn't out of place for the season. Instead of an ankle strap sandal (the one's I'm wearing are amazing and on sale), you could even wear this with an ankle bootie (my favorite pair are 50% off!)

Staying Motivated In The Morning

target i love coffee hoodie

Another Monday, another large cup of coffee.

Does anyone else have grand productive plans for their weekend and then end up in their pj's until noon, watching Netflix and Instastories, only getting up for tacos, margaritas, and wine?

Can you tell what I did this weekend? lol.

I've been trying to keep a pretty consistent schedule during the week so I can have a more definitive weekend. But sometimes it's still hard to relax because I always feel like I need to do something now that I'm working for myself. The clock never ever stops. But this past weekend we really did stay in our pj's past noon (Saturday AND Sunday). We watched a new Netflix series called Altered Carbon and then every episode of the new Planet Earth series. I also watch the entire first season of the new Queer Eye and it is SO good! I had a lot of coffee, too many tacos, several girly drinks, and cuddled with Heidi for hours... not so bad if I do say so myself.

How I Cut & Color My Hair

blended balayage angled hair cut

This may very possibly be the most requested post of ALL TIME. I get quite a few questions about my hair regularly (ya'll are so kind, thank you), and after I had the cut & color freshened up last week, my direct message inbox has been flooded by questions asking what I had done. SO, as promised, today I'm writing a post about all things hair, with help of my sweet, sweet stylist, Kristen. I asked her to help me explain what she did in case you want to take the info. to your own stylist.

A Bow Embellished LBD

I shared this dress recently on Instagram while attending NY Now in NYC with grace + hudson. It was such a hit that I wanted to share it in a post so you could get a closer look. I love it so much because it's a good price point for a designer dress, and extremely versatile. Perfect for all the occasions to come... Mother's Day, Easter, weddings, dress rehearsals, bridal showers, and even a nice date night! The bow embellishment and shoulder cutouts give it just the right amount of pizzazz while keeping it conservative and classy.

A Mini Transition

tyler boe leopard skirt

I'm so excited to share today's post because I've gotten quite a few questions lately about how to transition a mini skirt from winter to spring. Or just how to wear one in cooler weather. It's definitely more of a challenge as more of your body is exposed to non-mini temps but there are several ways you can make it appropriate, and also classy. I like to think that the shorter the skirt, the flatter the shoe, and the longer to the top. Obviously, as it gets warmer and warmer wearing less can be okay, but for now, more is more lol.

Feeling The Love

Happy Valentine's Day, Friends! I hope you have a nice day planned... a fun date night, a Galentine's day movie night, or even just a bubble bath with a glass of wine. Justin had to travel for work today so we went out to a fabulous Vday dinner Saturday at a restaurant I'd never been to before. It was so good! I'm ready for the next holiday so we can go back.

Many of you have already seen this adorable bow wrap heart skirt on social media as I couldn't wait to share it several days ago. My sweet grandmother sent this to me for my birthday and I fell in love with it instantly. Then I received this beautiful black ruffle sleeve blouse and they made a perfect pair!

Ten Spring Essentials Under $100

spring essentials under $100

Since I pushed Friday's post to today, I decided to share some spring essentials under $100. Warmer weather will soon be on its way and there are SO many cute, affordable pieces flooding stores. Many of them will sell out fast, so get them while you can! I actually placed an order yesterday night and included those items in the collage above. One of them is the ankle strap sandal in nude with a clear toe strap. I own these in a pretty mauve color and love them so much I had to have a second pair. I wore them last year during wedding season and never once felt my feet hurting - and that hardly ever happens! Clear details are all the rage this coming season so I'm happy to incorporate them into my footwear.

The second item is the white henley top. This top looks so comfortable and I just saw it on a blogger yesterday and loved it. You can't go wrong with this brand and it's the perfect casual top to dress up or down (and I love how the model has it tucked in the front). I also grabbed a $20 tank but I purchased mine in the color rose (a light pink). Such a good price for a seasonal staple! In addition, I put a tinted moisturizer and liquid balm in my shopping bag. The tinted moisturizer is the same color and product as my FAV foundation, just in a thinner consistency - can't wait to try! As for the balm, I picked the lightest shade for a pretty tint of pink.

You'll also find a hot pink slide (slides are super popular again for spring), a glittered card keychain that is only $10, and a cute striped top for $25! The white skinnies were a recent purchase because I noticed they were a cropped length (great for petite) and I love them - no hemming necessary! They are also a great price point for denim at $64. Lastly, the black and white gingham off the shoulder top is one of my FAVORITE new pieces. It looks adorable on and fits true to size. I seriously recommend!

Have a wonderful weekend, and happy Spring shopping!

Pink Peplum Under $30

nordstrom bp double peplum ruffle tee

Hi, hey, and hello! So sorry to miss Wear It Wednesday on its usual day. I got in super late last night from work in NYC and decided to postpone the post until today. I'm finally back home in Virginia and had the MOST wonderful trip! It was amazing to be surrounded by entrepreneurs and lots incredible companies. If you didn't know, I was in New York City from last Saturday until yesterday, working with grace + hudson jewelry at the NY Now trade show. I haven't been to the city in years and we even saw the bachelor (yes, Arie) at the pizza joint where we ate in Time Square!

My Go-To Lip & Skin Therapy

This post is sponsored by Mirum, but all opinions are my own.

Earlier in the year, I talked about dry skin solutions so today I wanted to talk specifically about one brand, in particular, Vaseline. For those of you who have followed me for a while here on the blog, and also on Instagram, know that I've been using Vaseline for months now. It was suggested to me by several doctors when I was going suffering from a series of lip issues they think originated from an allergy or stress. Unfortunately, I was unable to use regular lipsticks or glosses for months (ugh it was terrible). The ONLY thing I could put on my lips that made them feel better was Vaseline.

And to my surprise and elation, Vaseline came out with a Lip Therapy tin that is super easy to travel with or put in your purse, AND it's much easier to get into than the teeny tiny baby-sized lip containers. SO thankful for this product!

January Beauty Favorites

january beauty favorites
I asked on Instagram Stories if you all would like to see monthly favorites or new beauty favorites and new beauty won by a teeny tiny bit. Many of these are new products are from this month so they are also monthly favs for January. I've been all about some great lipsticks and lipglosses lately because late last year I had to throw EVERY lip product away due to an infection. Since I had to part with so many products worth so much money I've been slow to build my collection back up. But I'm finally taking the plunge and have fallen head over heels for two glosses in particular
