Last Friday I wore this fall ootd out to lunch with a girlfriend. It was too cold to wear the dress alone, but not cold enough for a coat... so I opted for this cozy poncho and it was the perfect layering piece! I love that I could easily take it off and that it didn't cover up too much of my outfit.

PONCHO: Abercrombie | SWEATER DRESS: BP. (xs, tts) | BELT: Walmart | SLOUCHY BOOTS: Walmart | EARRINGS: Kendra Scott | SUNGLASSES: Quay BAG: Angela Roi c/o

To my surprise, when shopping, this poncho is very reasonably priced (only $48). It's a really beautiful item to add to any fall wardrobe, is soft to the touch, and comes in three colors. I chose the cream plaid because I've been buying so many pieces in tan this year. I love the combo of the two as it gives it a chic monochromatic feel. It's also a color you can pair with so many others!

My sweater dress was an unexpected success. I almost always steer away from midi length dresses, but for whatever reason I decided to give this one a try. And I love it! On petite, the slit gives it just enough dimension to not make the body look too short. I love that is has a slightly sexy feel like remaining conservative enough to wear to a weekend at the races or out to a fall brunch.

I bought my dress tts and it's very well fitting... however, I wanted a little extra shape, so I tied a cognac-colored braided belt around the middle. I just shared this accessory in Friday's blog post if you'd like to see another way to style it. I love that you can clasp it as any point making it great for various sizes and outfits. Braided belting is also very on trend for fall and this one is only $15!

My boots are another item from Friday's blog post and I am SO HAPPY WITH THEM! They are true to size, super comfy (I wore them to lunch and then all day after), and constructed to look slouchy so they don't actually fall down when you wear them. They also come in black and are under $50!

I hope all of you had a relaxing weekend. I'm gearing up for a busy week full of appointments and project planning for holiday! Cannot wait to share all sorts of new things.
